Xiaomi 12X started getting Android 12 update with MIUI 13 on top globally. The smartphone was launched in December last year with Android 11. European markets had started receiving the Android 12 update two weeks ago. The smartphone appeared in the community forum with the build number V18.104.22.168.SLDMIXM. The phone is also said to get the April 2022 Android security patch with the latest update. The update is 3.1 GB in size and is said to bring improvements in system security.
According to the Xiaomiui community forum, the Xiaomi 12X has started receiving the Android 12-based MIUI 13 update. Although the smartphone is getting [Android 12] The update, it is still missing the latest May 2022 security patch and instead only gets the April 2022 security patch. The April 2022 security patch is said to bring many improvements in terms of system security. Xiaomi started rolling out the Android 12-based MIUI 13 update a couple of weeks ago for European markets.
The latest update for Xiaomi 12X is 3.1GB in size and has the version number V22.214.171.124.SLDMIXM.
Xiaomi 12X should update to Android 12 automatically. If this does not happen, eligible users can update the smartphone manually by heading to Settings > About phone > MIUI version > Download update.
As a reminder, the Xiaomi 12X smartphone was first launched in December last year. The smartphone features a 6.28-inch touchscreen display with Gorilla Glass protection and a triple rear camera setup. The phone has a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.88 lens slot, a 5-megapixel camera, and a 13-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 lens slot. On the front, it has a 32MP selfie camera sensor. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC and a 4,500mAh battery. For storage, it has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. At the time of launch, the Android 11 smartphone came with MIUI 13 on top.
