Faye Cook, mother Tonya Cook, shines during a vigil for her daughter in 2018.

The trial of a man accused of killing a woman and dumping her burnt and torn bodies into a farm field began on Wednesday, alleging that the victim attempted to rob the accused.

Parrish, 56, of Vinland, is accused of killing Tonya M. Cook, 32, in 2018, and then leaving her remains in a Cumberland County field where a bystander discovered the horrific scene on July 2 of that year.
