Summer League | Charles Bassey leads the Sixers against the Jazz

Very little used last season behind Joel Embiid, Charles Bassi He took advantage of 26 minutes of play last night to score 17 points (7/12 in shots), grab 9 rebounds and steal 4 balls. His performance as the game’s joint top scorer contributed to the Sixers’ narrow victory over the Jazz (86-82) on Day Two of the Summer League in Salt Lake City.

The two teams stayed close for most of the time in a match marked by awkwardness on both sides: 76 players hit 38.5% while the Jazz lost 22 balls.

In addition to the fine production of its Nigerian hub, Philadelphia has been able to count on four other players with 10 points or more, including rookie Trevlin Quinn (15), Miles Powell (13) or Charlie Brown Jr. (12).

The Jazz pass, the most experienced player on the floor, Bruno Capoclo, of the Raptors, Grizzlies or Rockets, with 16 points and 6 rebounds (plus 5 losing balls and 7 character fouls!). Justin Robinson, who also has a few NBA games in his legs (Wizards, Thunder, Bucks…) scored 17 points.
