The Reds were today placed on the injured list for 15 days, retroactively to Sunday, RHP Tyler Mahley (Right shoulder tense).
Mahle is 3-7 with 4.48 ERA. Back in June, CBS Sports reported that Mahley could be a match for the Mets, San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals.
On Tuesday, the Mets appointed mitigating Sheriff Chasin Sheriff to the task to make way for Max Scherzer, who is back from the injured list after recovering from a tense tilted condition. Scherzer threw six runs in a knockout and lost only two during his 11 nets. He ended up not making a decision in the 1-0 loss to the Cincinnati Reds. Sharif, 31, has a 6.49 ERA this season. It’s just one of many moves that will happen as the Mets have made a list of many returning from their injured list.
