OnePlus Hosts User Experience Survey to Get Feedback to Improve OxygenOS Experience

OnePlus has hosted a new community survey to get feedback on the current experience of OxygenOS users. The Chinese smartphone brand previously announced that it will be combining OxygenOS and ColorOS. However, after the move faced criticism from the OnePlus community, the plan was eventually canceled earlier this year in February. OnePlus has since focused on improving the core OxygenOS experience. The survey went live on Saturday, May 28, for OnePlus users as well as users of other smartphone brands. This survey is now closed.

OnePlus ensures that survey participants maintain the confidentiality of their information. He adds that the input collected will only be used for “product iteration research”. The survey contained questions asking users to describe their best and worst experiences while using OxygenOS. It also asked users to mention features from other smartphone user interfaces that they would like to see on OxygenOS.

The Chinese tech giant has currently launched stable versions of OxygenOS 12 for its smartphones like OnePlus Nord 2 and OnePlus 10 Pro. OnePlus has also announced that development of OxygenOS 13 is also underway. I held an open ears forum where I discussed this next generation of OxygenOS with loyal customers. The company then revealed that it had set some goals for OxygenOS 13 based on the feedback it received from this forum. It aims to improve user interface customization and system consistency. Always On Display (AOD) may also receive more features such as a music player.

The next generation of OxygenOS 13 is expected to be based on Android 13, which is currently in its early beta stage. Google recently released the Android 13 Beta 2.1 patch for Pixel users.
