N.J. supermarket recalls store-made ground meat

ShopRite of Greenwich, NJ is recalling all store-made ground meat sold on July 2 due to possible metal shards in the meat, according to a press release from the supermarket.

ShopRite of Greenwich has pulled out all of its store-made packages of ground beef, Angus ground beef, meatloaf mix, and ground pork. All products have a sale date of July 2nd.

Return did not affect other products in the store. Also, no injuries have been reported in connection with the recalled product.

This is a separate incident and does not affect any other ShopRite stores in the region.

However, the store requires customers who have purchased the product to check the labels of any ground meat products they may have purchased at the store and can be obtained at home.

For those who have questions or concerns about the recall, the company asks people to call 1-800-ShopRite.
