Instagram Announces ‘1 Minute Music’ Tracks For Reels, Stories in India

Instagram on Thursday announced “1 Minute Music” tracks, which provide a selection of songs and videos that can be used to make Reels and Stories on the platform. The Meta-owned app claimed the latest track collection from “1 Minute Music” features music from over 200 Indian musicians, including Dhvani Bhanushali, Neeti Mohan, Shaan, Himanshi Khurana, Aniruth and GV Prakaash Kumar. The music group will make Instagram content more interesting and inspire other artists to release one-minute music videos on the platform, according to the company.

Meta-owned Instagram claims that “1 Minute Music” also accompanies music videos along with the tracks, which will also be available on the platform. Meanwhile, some music tracks by Indian artists like Himanshi Khurana, Kaur B and Gurnazar Chatta have already been streamed in the past 10 days on the online photo and video sharing platform.

Believe, a music distribution and artist services company, has partnered with Instagram to make the private collection available to users, according to the company.

Availability of “1 Minute Music”

Instagram users will be able to find the “1 Minute Music” feature in Reels’ audio gallery. Other than that, they can also take a look at this feature here.

Speaking on the occasion Paras Sharma, Director of Content and Community Partnerships at Facebook India (Meta), said, “Music is a catalyst for trends on Instagram today. In fact, Reels has become a platform for people to discover music and artists as well. Through ‘1 Minute Music’, We are now giving people access to an exclusive set of tracks that they can use to make their reels even more entertaining. We also hope that this platform will serve as a model for established and emerging artists to share their music and create their own videos, all on Reels.”

Last month, Instagram also announced new improved tags for reels, making it easier for creators to get credit for their work.
