Inspira Medical Center in Vinland held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially dedicate the “Blue Heart of Heroes,” an 11-foot-high, 12-foot-wide blue steel heart located outside the hospital entrance.
The 5,000-pound installation acknowledges the dedication and compassion of all healthcare workers throughout the ongoing battle against COVID-19, according to a press release. In addition, it will serve as a visual reminder of the community’s gratitude for the tireless efforts of local healthcare workers.

Inspira Health launched the Blue Hearts for Heroes campaign during the early months of the pandemic to recognize the courage of frontline employees and their unwavering commitment to protecting the local community. Community members responded by placing blue hearts in their windows to express their gratitude to Inspira’s healthcare heroes.
