Google Pixel Watch Lasts Up to a Day on Single Charge: Report

A report claims that the Google Pixel Watch’s battery will last up to a day on a single charge, adding that these may not be the actual numbers the smartwatch will be available for purchase later this year. Google announced the Pixel Watch at this year’s Google I/O event. The wearable features a circular domed design with rounded edges. The Pixel Watch also carries premium color options and a list of fitness tracking features. Google Pixel Watch runs the latest version of Wear OS.

Citing sources, 9to5google mentioned that the Google Pixel watch has a precise capacity of around 300mAh that offers up to a day’s runtime on a single charge. This number is based on pre-release testing, and may change when Google actually makes the watch available for purchase this fall.

By comparison, we were able to use nearly a day and a half on a single charge of the Apple Watch 7 with all-day heart rate monitoring, always-on display mode enabled, and SpO2 tracking by default. The battery took about 2 days of running time with the always-on screen off. Likewise, we were able to squeeze in about a day and a half of battery life during our review of the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic.

The report also says that there is no information available on the conditions – such as Always-On Display (AOD) and sleep tracking – under which the Pixel Watch was tested. Furthermore, the Pixel Watch does not offer “particularly fast charging” via a magnetic cable to USB Type-C, the report claimed. It is reported that it takes more than 110 minutes to fully charge.
