TOKYO – Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has suffered a severe heart haemorrhage after apparently being shot by a bullet during his campaign speech in western Japan, NHK public television reported Friday.
NHK says Abby has been hospitalized.
Eyewitnesses reported hearing gunshots in what appeared to be the attack in Nara. He was standing during a campaign speech ahead of Sunday’s Senate elections.
