BMW Sedan i4 All-Electric Car Launched in India, Third Product of the Company in Indian Electric Segment

German luxury carmaker BMW on Thursday launched its all-electric i4 sedan in India with an introductory price of Rs. 69.9 lakh, as it speeds up the country’s electric mobility motor.

The company, which in November last year announced plans to launch three electric cars in India within six months as part of its electric mobility journey, has already announced its technology-leading launch of the all-electric iX SUV and MINI all-electric hatchback.

i4 is imported as a fully built unit. It has the fifth generation of BMW eDrive technology with an integrated drive unit supported by an electric motor, single-speed transmission and power electronics. The company said that the i4 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 5.7 seconds with a power of 340 hp. Lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 80.7 kWh.

He added, “We at BMW Group are leading the way in electric mobility in India… Today, I am really excited to present to you the first electric mid-size sedan in the country.”

This is BMW’s third product in India’s electric sector, Boah said, adding that “this vehicle has a range of 590 kilometers more than any other electric vehicle in India.”

The company said the BMW i4 can be booked online at and deliveries will begin at the beginning of July 2022.
